God is restoring the orphans and widows, and at the core of the orphan and widow heart is a missing father foundation. I saw an incomplete concrete foundation of earthly fathers in our lives that only Heavenly Father can be the completion of, and the word "Security" is tied in with fatherhood. Some of the fear, anxiety, and insecurity we may be feeling is God calling us to be our Heavenly Father security.

God's heart for the orphans and widows

We should be neither following a Poverty Gospel, nor a Prosperity Gospel. Anything other than life in Christ is a false Gospel. Is Jesus the treasure of our hearts? Are we storing up eternal treasures in heaven, or treasures that we’ll leave behind on this earth when we die?

Do we hear the word “Blessing” and think of money or do we think of every spiritual blessing that we have in Christ? (Eph. 1:3)

In this video I focus on two key Scriptures about God and money - Mark 4, and Matthew 6.

In Mark 4 we learn about the word of God being planted, and the thorns choke out the plant. The thorns represent the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches.

In Matthew 6 we find our peace in seeking the Kingdom of God first and letting Him take care of our needs. We don’t need to live in the anxiety of trying to provide for ourselves or our family. Our Heavenly Father is our provider.

We need to prioritize what is #1 in our lives, how we earn a living, or how we’re seeking the Kingdom of God in our lives through Jesus.

God & Money – Just Bread or The Bread of Life?

Some of you are feeling a sense of instability, insecurity, and fear. It’s not the kind of fear that comes from your thoughts or reading the news - it’s an anomaly fear, an unexplainable insecurity that you can’t quite pinpoint where it’s coming from.

God was showing me this as a concrete foundation, but a part of that foundation is missing. It’s the foundation of security and peace in your life that your earthly father built. But no matter how your earthly father was, it was an incomplete foundation, and the missing piece is Heavenly Father.

God is saying you need to make Heavenly Father your foundation to find peace. Your earthly father was never able to give you a complete foundation and security in life, but God as Father in your life will complete it, and you will find that missing piece of security and stability filled when you allow Him to fill that foundation.

Unexplainable Fear – Heavenly Father is the completion of your foundation.

Are you striving to create your own self worth like bringing a Report Card to God, trying to prove yourself worthy of His love? Or are you resting in the finished work of Jesus and receiving the love God already has for you in Christ? Are you striving or resting in your identity as a son or daughter of God?

Some are motivated by hard work in trying to prove they’re worthy of being loved, but Jesus already demonstrated God’s love and acceptance for you. Receive God’s love and allow that love to be your motivation which propels your ministry to others.

What does it feel like to feel like an orphan? God has a specific heart for the widows and orphans all throughout Scripture. I want to encourage you to understand your belonging in Christ is a reality. If you are in Jesus, you have an adopted identity as a Son or Daughter of God.

You may encounter thoughts of rejection, but God's truth and Jesus' finished work is greater. In Jesus you are already a member of the Church and belong in the Church - it's not something you earn or strive toward, but something God has declared.

Let this word - BELONGING - transform your relationships and your life.

Feel Like an Orphan in this World?

There are times when keeping the peace goes beyond just peaceable living, and becomes a state of living dishonestly with yourself and others.

People pleasing often arises from what Scripture refers to as, “the fear of man.” Fear of man is when you are living a life where you become more concerned about satisfying the opinion of others than resting in God’s opinion of you.

God has called us to put Him first. This means above all people, kings, and powers, we fear and revere God the most. When you fear others and their opinions over God, it can become idolatry and an obstacle in your obedience to God and your walk with Jesus.

People Pleasing or Honest Relationships?

God is activating many in the church. Not just people with official titles, but people who are starting to hear God's voice and obey - people who have overcome strongholds of the enemy, healing, and being delivered.

God is activating many for building up one another. God is activating the men and bringing us back into our purpose and our design. We have such a strong influence and an important role in the Church!

The Church is Being Activated. Be Encouraged!

The degree in which we can be the effective leaders God created us to be is dependent upon the degree in which we are followers of Christ.
We are not just "tasked" by God, but we are co-laborers together with God. We must abide in the Vine in order to produce fruit. We can't produce fruit ourselves.

Men Who Abide in the Vine

Isolation is a place we build for our own self-protection, but it can become our own prison. God is calling men to find strength in Him through our prayer closet. Don't give up on the Church, as much as it has hurt you, ask God to lead you to those who will lift you up and help you. It's OK to be weak, that is when God strengthens us.
