What I Sense is Coming for 2026 and Forward

I’ve been sensing a lot of things about where the Church and the world is heading in 2026 and forward, and what I believe is part of what we’re being prepared for.

A greater closure of the past and forward focus, along with discipling and encouraging others.

Luke 9:62 – “Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

We’ll be able to spend less of our time and energy trying to heal from our own past and more able to close some of those past doors so that we can look forward and focus on others. No longer jumping back and glancing back at the unresolved things of the past. There will be more resolution so that we’re being prepared to put our hands to the plow and look forward toward Jesus.

This will enable us to be able to use our time and energy discipling and encourage others, including new believers.

Faith + Works will be important.

James 2:17 – “So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

No longer will it be enough for the Church to give good speeches and sermons, but we’re going into a season where demonstrating our faith, being an example of faith, and faith in action is going to be essential. But this won’t be possible without a DAILY humbling of ourselves before Christ.

The younger generations are going to care less about words and sermons alone, but are going to need living witnesses and testimonies of Jesus in our lives and our action. I also believe that God’s design for family and man/woman will be something which we can no longer just “preach” but will require being an example of. The past few generations have strayed so far from God’s design of family in seasons of divorce and brokenness, that we can no longer rely on verbally convincing others of God’s design for family, we’ll need to be examples of it for a new generation. This is all impossible without humbling ourselves daily at the feet of Jesus.

Spiritual awakenings both in the Church who knows Jesus, and the world’s Babylon spirituality.

Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.”

2 Timothy 4:3-4 – “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”

Some of us are uniquely being prepared and equipped to face a world which is less atheist and materialistic, and being increasingly influenced by New Age and other counterfeit spirituality. False prophets continuing to rise, just as God’s prophets are rising to speak Christ as the only way, truth, and life. As being are more aware of spiritual things, there will be increasing activity by the spirit of antichrist trying to re-define who Jesus is in a New Age way, and we will need to be ready to speak against these deceptions, standing firm in conviction that Jesus is the only Son of God, and is the only way, truth, and life.

I sense that God is preparing some of us uniquely to be able to minister and disciple into a new environment in the world, and the things which worked in the past aren’t going to work going forward. We will no longer be able to default to church traditions and methods. The Lord is getting us ready to be active.
